Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort introduces a new glamorous look after extensive refurbishment
Portugal, April 2023 – Situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and next to Vilamoura Marina in the Algarve in Southern Portugal, Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort has reopened following an extensive redesign and refurbishment. The major revamp introduces a contemporary and sophisticated new look to all the guest rooms, the entrance lobby, The Argo Cocktail Bar as well as newly landscaped gardens with a redesigned pool.
Tivoli Marina Vilamoura reopens after a four month renovation, with a new nautical and contemporary design inspired by the Algarvian beaches, the marina and the Atlantic Ocean. In the 383 bedrooms, including 21 suites, the soft beige tones, striped fabrics and natural materials aim to reflect the views, creating a relaxed atmosphere and a perfect harmony between the exterior scenery and the interior design.
The 49 sqm family rooms come with an exterior lounge area and terrace, combining wood with sand-coloured textures and rattan finishes with sophisticated table lamps. The revamped Vilamoura Suite now includes the choice of a VIP experience, such as dinner for two at Pepper's Steakhouse with beverages, an 80-minute treatment at Tivoli Spa, or sun loungers for two at the adjoining beach club – Purobeach – which is open between April and October.
The lobby has been redesigned using a range of natural materials with wood, fabrics and textures in neutral tones mixed with nautical blues. A large tropical garden in the centre brings the outside in and makes the space feel more intimate. The Glee Boutique Café has also been given a makeover with a palette of neutral tones, which blends the new look and feel of the lobby and better showcases the pastries, chocolates and colourful macarons.
The renewed “Voyage” restaurant, where breakfast is served, has a sophisticated “French Riviera” style, with vertical blue stripes, wooden chairs and bamboo details, mixed with floral and geometric patterns, paying homage to the Moorish-influences, typical in the south of Portugal.
The Argo Cocktail Bar is now more glamorous with richer tones, satin textures and golden details. The balcony, with a prime view over the marina, has new décor with emphasis on light wood and natural textures. This is just a step away from the hotel´s well known restaurant, Pepper's Steakhouse, which specialises in dishes using the best cuts of meat, accompanied by an impressive wine list.
Tivoli Marina Vilamoura’s gardens and pool area have also undergone a major transformation. The pool is now in a sky blue tone, with a new shallow area where guests can relax on loungers in the water. This transformation is more energy efficient, using significantly less water. The freshly landscaped gardens feature 70 new palm trees offering more shady and private relaxation areas.
The project was lead by Azora, the hotel owning company, together with the interior architecture studio Talasur Group.
“This refurbishment marks a new beginning for Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, a hotel that throughout its 35 years has been ahead of its time, providing an innovative service with an outstanding team. We are proud of the new-look property, which will now be able to exceed even more guests’expectations”, says Hugo Gonçalves, General Manager of Tivoli Marina Vilamoura.
The resort is well placed for access to numerous Algarve beaches, boat tours, golf courses, walking trails at Ria Formosa Natural Park and cultural discoveries in Loulé town with local artisans and its various arts like tile/dish painting, tapestry or basketry. Tivoli Marina Vilamoura also has a 2,400 sqm Tivoli Spa where guests can indulge in exclusive face and body therapies with local organic ingredients.
In the year that the Tivoli brand celebrates its 90th anniversary, the relaunch of a more glamorous Tivoli Marina Vilamoura reinforces the values of the brand – timeless elegance and tradition. Tivoli is celebrating its 90th anniversary with events and special guest experiences, which will be revealed throughout the year.
Rates at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura start from €300.00 for a Premium room including breakfast for two people. For more information on Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, visit https://www.tivolihotels.com/en/tivoli-marina-vilamoura.
