Bangkok, 15th March 2023: Paul Stocker has been announced as the new vice president of operations in Southeast Asia for Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator and investor based in Thailand. Stocker joins the rapidly expanding hospitality group from Oakwood Worldwide Asia where he held a VP role from 2019, helping the Singapore-based operator of serviced apartments and hotel brands drive key commercial functions.
Bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Stocker steps into his new role with a mandate to help take Minor Hotels to the next phase of growth by driving operational excellence, and overseeing commercial processes across the group’s portfolio in Southeast Asia; including Anantara. the European-rooted Tivoli, NH and NH Collection and the Australian branded Oaks Hotels and Resorts. Stocker will also have a strong focus on operational excellence for the Avani portfolio throughout the region.
Prior to joining Oakwood Worldwide Asia, Stocker served as the vice president, sales, marketing and revenue at Oakwood Asia Pacific. His other career roles include the vice president, revenue management and sales for Galaxy Entertainment Group, a developer and operator of hotels, gaming and integrated resort facilities in Macau; regional vice president, sales at Meritus Hotels & Resorts; vice president, MICE and group sales at Resorts World Sentosa as well as executive director of sales at Marina Bay Sands where he was part of the opening team.

A New Zealand national, Stocker holds a Diploma in Hospitality Management from the Auckland University of Technology (formerly Auckland Institute of Technology).
