Every year around mid-March, Amsterdam’s parks and fields across The Netherlands transform into real-life impressionist paintings, marking the arrival of tulip season. To help guests navigate this astonishing landscape, Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam has unveiled a collection of three curated experiences that celebrate the iconic flower’s enduring appeal through historical insights, natural immersion and gourmet food.

The newest addition to the hotel’s ever-evolving “Tulips in Bloom” collection is the “Tulip Treats” package, which begins with an audio tour of the Tulip Museum, focusing on the flower’s role as a symbol of wealth and its cultural significance. In the museum’s recently expanded show garden, four million tulips arranged in perfect symmetry provide a stunning backdrop for photographs and alfresco tea with delectable tulip-shaped cakes. A playful invention by a local patisserie, the colourful tulip cakes feature a velour-finished mousse and jelly cup resting on a buttery base. The “Tulip Treats” package is priced at EUR 425 for two persons for 3.5 hours, including return limousine transfers.

Another way to explore the city’s long-standing relationship with the king of spring flowers is through the hotel’s signature “Tulip Treasures” package. After a tour of the Tulip Museum with a professional grower that culminates with a visit of the museum’s exquisite show garden, guests will be whisked back to the hotel for a two-course lunch or dinner at the elegant Grand Café Krasnapolsky overlooking the expanse of Dam Square. The package is at EUR 649 for two persons for four hours, including return limousine transfers.

Finally, romantics and nature enthusiasts alike will love the “Tulip Tableaux” package, which includes a limousine transfer, a guided museum tour and a luxury picnic served by an Anantara butler amid a sea of flowers in a private tulip field. On the menu are such delicacies as Old Dutch cheese sandwich with nutty Beemster and homemade apple syrup; light lobster salad with artichoke, grapefruit, tomato and asparagus; Dutch caviar with blini and crème fraîche; and a tulip-inspired dessert made with delicate layers of pear, elderberry, yoghurt and spiced Speculaas biscuits. The package is EUR 1,250 for two persons for four hours.

All three “Tulips in Bloom” packages also include a gift bag from Bloomeffects, an innovative brand of high-performance skincare rich in antioxidants derived from tulips sourced from a local fourth-generation farm.

Another way to experience the brand’s advanced skincare formulations is by booking the hotel’s signature Black Tulip Radiance Facial (EUR 175 for 60 minutes) at Anantara Spa.

Guests staying at the hotel outside the spring season can still experience the city's enduring affection for the iconic flower by taking home their own Anantara Tulip bulbs and planting them in the spring. Developed in partnership with local growers, the distinctive variety embodies the brand’s spirit with its signature sunshine gold hue that can be spotted each spring at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam and other Anantara properties in Europe.

The three packages are available during the 2025 tulip season from mid-March to mid-May. For more information about Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam, visit here. For tour information and bookings, please email at cg.krasnapolsky@anantara-hotels.com.
