Anantara Hotels & Resorts, the experiential luxury brand of Minor Hotels, invites travellers to immerse themselves in the awe-inspiring art and architecture of the ancient Champa Kingdom in Quy Nhon and Hoi An with a curated five-day, four-night experience. From the Anantara Hoi An Resort and Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, guests can experience two famous Cham sites from the civilisation that played a vital role in Southeast Asia’s maritime trade networks and is known for its art, architecture and cultural heritage.
Guests start their journey through central Vietnam in the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognised for its preservation of Chinese shophouses, Japanese bridges and French colonial buildings. Staying along the Thu Bon River and less than a kilometre from Hoi An’s historic centre, guests will enjoy two nights at the 92-key Anantara Hoi An Resort. During their stay, guests will enjoy an excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of My Son, the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom. My Son was constructed between the 4th and 13th centuries CE and offers a rare glimpse into the early Southeast Asian civilisation.
The Champa Kingdom exploration continues a few hours south, outside of Quy Nhon. Guests will enjoy two nights in one of 25 luxury pool villas at the beachfront Anantara Quy Nhon Villas resort. About 30 kilometres from the resort are the Banh It Towers, a remarkable cluster of Champa temple towers. Guests will explore this must-visit destination and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside over a picnic lunch. Back at the resort, they can try their hand at Viet Vo Dao, a martial arts native to the region, or relax at one of Vietnam’s best unexplored beaches.
Connecting Anantara Hoi An Resort and Anantara Quy Nhon Villas is a six-hour railway journey aboard The Vietage by Anantara, an elegant and luxurious 12-guest carriage developed by Anantara. Taking travellers through the lush landscapes and spectacular scenery of Central Vietnam. The Vietage by Anantara combines old-world comfort, breathtaking views and gourmet dining to leave guests refreshed and ready for their next destination.
From 1 June, travellers between Da Nang and Quy Nhon will enjoy a newly launched menu during their trip. The Vietage by Anantara chefs have created a new culinary experience that effortlessly fuses modern cuisine with Vietnamese influences, taking travellers on a journey through the taste sensations of Vietnam while the country’s landscape passes by.
The three-course epicurean experience begins with the choice of Cham Islands Seafood Salad, Quy Nhon Sundried Beef Salad or King Crab Cakes, all bursting with local flavours. The tour continues with the main courses of Pan-Fried Magret Duck Breast, Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek, Sapa Salmon Fillet or Hoi An Chicken Rice. The meal concludes with desserts such as Dalat Strawberries with Coconut Yoghurt, Mango and Coconut Tiramisu or Fresh Sable Chocolate Cake.
The Vietage’s food menu is complemented by an extensive beverage menu inspired by the locale, featuring speciality teas from Vietnamese producer Epicurean Sao, ethically sourced Vietnamese coffee from La Folliet Coffee, a selection of Vietnamese handcrafted gins and exclusively curated cocktails and mocktails by resident mixologists.
The Vietage by Anantara service is also available between Quy Nhon and the bustling coastal city of Nha Trang, where guests can enjoy a luxury afternoon tea during the five-hour journey.
