Anantara Layan Phuket Resort announces that Layan Life by Anantara has been named the winner in the Spa & Wellness category at the prestigious AHEAD Awards Asia 2025, held in Singapore on 12th September.
Organised by Sleeper Magazine, the AHEAD Awards celebrate excellence in hospitality design and guest experiences across the Asia region. Layan Life stood out for its groundbreaking approach to wellness, blending advanced medical science with Thailand’s ancient healing traditions in a biophilic sanctuary designed to nurture body, mind, and spirit.
Designed by Martin Palleros, Tierra Design, and P49 Design Co. Ltd, Layan Life reflects the “Whole of Life” philosophy and the four elements of traditional Thai medicine. The retreat offers transformative wellness journeys such as Mindfulness for Life, Beauty for Life, and Active for Life, alongside à la carte treatments and exclusive memberships for ongoing care.
“We are honoured to receive this recognition from AHEAD Asia,” said Frederic Varnier, Vice President Operations, Thailand South for Minor Hotels. “Layan Life is a testament to our commitment to creating meaningful spaces that connect guests with nature and promote sustainable wellbeing.”
Layan Life’s innovative Life Method integrates diagnostics, physiotherapy, energy healing, and Thai Traditional Medicine. Facilities include cryotherapy chambers, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and custom herbal treatments, all housed in a purpose-built wellness center that merges luxury with holistic care.
“This award reinforces Anantara’s position as a leader in wellness hospitality and highlights the growing global demand for integrated, transformative travel experiences,” Mr. Varnier concluded.
