Anantara Concorso Roma announces line up of the world’s finest Italian cars heading for the Eternal City
• Anantara Concorso Roma has announced car line up, judges and event partners at a press conference in Rome, ahead of the inaugural event on 16-19 April 2026.
• First Concorso hosted in Rome since 1960, featuring 70 historic Italian cars and celebrating ‘La Dolce Vita delle Automobili’.
Taking place from the 16th to 19th of April 2026, the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma will bring together 70 historic Italian cars in the heart of Rome. Combining icons of Italian automotive engineering and design with the best in Roman hospitality, it is a celebration of ‘La Dolce Vita della Automobili’.
From Le Mans-winning Ferraris to immaculate Lancias, Anantara Concorso Roma is solely dedicated to Italian cars, and each one tells a captivating story. Hundreds, if not thousands, of hours can be dedicated to the preservation and restoration of concours-condition vehicles, making events like this a rare opportunity to see cars of this condition and significance in one space.
Postponed in 2025 following the passing of Pope Francis, the Concorso has been expanded and enhanced in the intervening twelve months. It will be open to the public on the 18th and 19th of April, with judging taking place on Saturday and the winners announced on Sunday.
The 70 historic Italian cars will compete across 16 classes, from ‘Le Zagato ante-guerra’ to ‘Le hypercar’, including road and race cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, Fiat, and more. Participating cars include a 1932 Maserati V4 Sport Spider Zagato, a 1955 Ferrari 375 MM Coupé Speciale Ghia, 1959 models of Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Interim Pinin Farina and Lancia Flaminia Sport Sperimentale Zagato, and a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider.
Anantara Concorso Roma is organised by Anantara Hotels & Resorts and presented by UBS. It is hosted by Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel and is supported by event partners Richard Mille and Lockton Wattana. In addition, other confirmed partners include Maserati, Schedoni Modena, RM Sotheby's, American Express, Gulfstream, Sanlorenzo, Globeair, Tenute Lunelli, Whispering Angel, Veuve Clicquot, Lavazza, Acqua di Parma, Technogym, Renauld, CARS, Octane, Cover Car, Ripense, Antica Manifattura Cappelli, La Dolce Vita, FICOFI, Automobile Club D'Italia, ASI, Comune di Roma and ACLI.
William E. Heinecke, Founder & Chairman of Minor International, parent company of Anantara and long-time classic car collector and enthusiast, commented: “There is a unique atmosphere in Rome and an incredible history of car racing and concours, so when we set out to establish a new concorso event for the world’s finest examples of historic Italian cars, the Eternal City was the obvious choice. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Roma Capitale, the people of Rome and to everyone who has made the event possible, and I am confident that with the support of our esteemed partners, we will successfully establish Anantara Concorso Roma as an annual event on the international concours calendar.”
Benjamin Cavalli, Head of Strategic Clients & Global Connectivity, UBS Global Wealth Management and Co‑Head EMEA OneUBS, commented: “UBS is delighted to present the Anantara Concorso Roma – where exceptional craftsmanship, design and engineering converge. We’re excited to bring our global community together for this unique celebration of heritage and innovation.”
Anantara Concorso Roma is also fortunate to have the cooperation of Roma Capitale, the government agency responsible for Rome.
“Anantara Concorso Roma is a major international event that celebrates Italian lifestyle, envied worldwide, and helps convey a positive image of Rome,” commented Alessandro Onorato, Councillor for Sport, Tourism, Fashion, and Major Events of Rome Capital. “I am very attached to this event because last year, despite its postponement due to the sad passing of Pope Francis, a tangible legacy was still created with the donation to ACLI Rome of a refrigerated van to better collect and distribute surplus food. This year, the fundraising with event participants will allow the creation of ACLI Rome’s Solidarity Pantry, with the purchase of a refrigeration unit and the setup of the storage and distribution area. Concrete legacies that testify to the importance of major events in improving the city.”
For its inaugural event, Anantara Concorso Roma has selected a panel of twelve judges, supported by two specialists and led by Chief Judge Adolfo Orsi. Lorenzo Ramaciotti has also been named as Honorary Judge. The full list of judges for 2026 is included below.
Day passes for Saturday or Sunday are available now, for €95, and weekend passes are also available. For information please contact: guest-relations@anantaraconcorsoroma.com.
