The NH Collection Palacio de Aranjuez occupies a building originally designed as a residential palace for Manuel Godoy, prime minister and advisor to King Carlos IV in the eighteenth century. The works, which ran until the nineteenth century, never finished. However, the wide vaulted roofs of the original building are now part of the hotel’s spectacular hallway.
