NH Collection Cáceres Palacio de Oquendo 9,96 MB
The palatial former home of the Marquis of Oquendo, the refurbished stone building that is home to the NH Collection Cáceres Palacio de Oquendo, is located in San Juan Square. Built in the sixteenth century, it was acquired in the seventeenth century by Pedro José de Ovando y Cárdenas and his wife, the Viscountess of Peñaparda de Flores, whose coat of arms is on display in the inner courtyard. The façade features, in addition to decorative bossage mouldings, the coats of arms of Ulloa and Narváez, which belong to the Marquis of Oquendo, who owned the palace until 1980.
