Minor Hotels acquires The Jazz Corner Hotel in Melbourne

June 2024: Minor Hotels, one of the world’s fastest growing hotel groups, has further expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of The Jazz Corner Hotel in Melbourne. 

The character-filled hotel, which will continue to operate under its current name, is renowned for its unique music offering, with both international & domestic live performances almost every night in its world-famous Bird’s Basement live jazz venue. 

Located in Melbourne’s historic legal district, opposite beautiful Flagstaff Gardens and walking distance from the Queen Victoria Markets and myriad upscale restaurants and bars, the hotel is an easy stroll to some of Melbourne’s best shopping, including Melbourne Central, Emporium Melbourne and Bourke St Mall, and a short distance from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and to Marvel Stadium for sports fans and those attending major events.

Guests can choose from a range of themed suites with city skyline or parkland views which pay homage to jazz legends, such as the Ella Fitzgerald Studio View, the Charlie Parker One Bedroom View and the Frank Sinatra King Business Suite.
