Following the announcement of the return of the World Gourmet Festival at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel from 29 September to 4 October 2026, this year's festival celebrates an extraordinary culinary collaboration between Latin America, France and the United States, while unveiling the first three internationally acclaimed chefs confirmed for the event.

Under the theme 'The World of Flavours,' the festival brings together some of the world's most celebrated culinary talents, including:

Álvaro Clavijo

Chef and founder of El Chato in Bogotá, Colombia, Álvaro Clavijo has become a defining figure in modern Latin American gastronomy. His restaurant, El Chato, was named the No. 1 restaurant in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants and continues to earn international recognition for its ingredient-driven approach. Drawing inspiration from Colombia's extraordinary biodiversity, Clavijo works closely with indigenous communities and local producers to showcase native ingredients, creating a cuisine that is both deeply rooted in place and globally celebrated.

Julien Royer

Chef-owner of Odette in Singapore, Julien Royer is one of Asia's most acclaimed culinary figures and the recipient of three Michelin stars. Consistently ranked among both Asia's and The World's 50 Best Restaurants, Odette reflects Royer's distinctive vision of refined French cuisine interpreted through an Asian perspective. Guided by a deep respect for terroir, seasonality and craftsmanship, he combines impeccable technique with a thoughtful approach to ingredients, earning international recognition as one of the leading voices in contemporary gastronomy.

Josiah Citrin

Chef-owner of Mélisse in Los Angeles, Josiah Citrin is one of America's most respected culinary figures. Awarded two Michelin stars, Mélisse embodies Citrin's commitment to excellence, innovation and exceptional hospitality. Widely recognised as a pioneer of Californian luxury dining and ingredient-driven cuisine, he has spent more than three decades influencing the American culinary landscape, earning widespread acclaim and establishing himself as a leading force in contemporary gastronomy.

Together, these three acclaimed chefs represent the diversity, creativity and innovation that define today's global culinary landscape.

"The World Gourmet Festival continues to celebrate the diversity and creativity that define the global culinary landscape. We are honoured to welcome Álvaro Clavijo, Julien Royer and Josiah Citrin to Bangkok, where their distinct culinary philosophies will offer guests an extraordinary journey across Latin America, France and the United States," said Torsten Richter, General Manager of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel.

Representing three distinct culinary philosophies and some of the most respected dining destinations in the world, these chefs will bring their signature creativity and culinary storytelling to Bangkok for a series of exclusive dining experiences during the World Gourmet Festival.

Recognised as one of Asia's most prestigious gastronomic events, the World Gourmet Festival continues to unite leading chefs, culinary innovators, and food enthusiasts from around the world. This announcement marks the first chefs reveal for the 2026 festival, with additional international chefs, special collaborations, unique dining events, and exclusive experiences set to be unveiled in the coming months leading up to the festival.
