Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Abdullatif Al Farsi as General Manager, making him the youngest Omani General Manager to lead a luxury resort in the Sultanate.

The appointment is a notable development for Anantara Hotels & Resorts and Oman's luxury hospitality industry. It celebrates a homegrown leader whose career reflects the brand's commitment to developing local talent and creating opportunities for future generations of hoteliers.

Abdullatif's appointment is the culmination of an inspiring journey shaped by passion, determination and a strong connection to his homeland. Having joined Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in 2019 as Front Office Manager, he has progressed through the ranks, serving as Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms, Resident Manager and, most recently, Acting General Manager. His new role follows several years of people-first leadership and a focus on creating exceptional guest experiences.

With more than 15 years of operational experience, including over seven years with Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Abdullatif combines international luxury expertise with an intrinsic understanding of Omani culture.

Prior to joining Anantara, he honed his skills at Crowne Plaza Muscat, Crowne Plaza Muscat Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Crowne Plaza Sohar and Millennium Hotels & Resorts, contributing to several successful hotel openings throughout his career. He has also completed Executive Studies in Property Management at Cornell University, further strengthening his strategic capabilities.

As the youngest Omani to helm a five-star luxury resort, Abdullatif represents a new generation of hoteliers, one that embodies Anantara's philosophy of connecting travellers to the world's most remarkable destinations through authentic people, genuine cultural experiences and heartfelt hospitality.
