Experience the Magic and Enduring Romance of Tulips with Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam
As the Dutch capital bursts into a riot of colours with the arrival of the tulip season, Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam invites nature lovers and romantics to join its acclaimed “Tulips in Bloom” experience. Renewed each year with delightful surprises the two packages perfectly balance history insights with incredible in-nature experiences, as well as offering travellers a chance to enjoy exquisite dining in some of the most picturesque spots in the city.
The Tulip Tableaux package offers a cultural journey that starts with a luxury limousine ride from the hotel’s historic location to the Tulip Museum, where guests can discover the fascinating history of the bulb and its impact on Dutch society during a guided tour with a professional grower, before stepping into the museum’s own show garden to experience the flowers in their technicolour glory. For the gastronomic part, guests can choose to have lunch or dinner before or after the museum visit with a delectable two-course set meal served at the hotel’s elegant Grand Café Krasnapolsky overlooking the expanse of Dam Square.
For a taste of the ultimate fairy-tale romance, couples can book the Tulip Treasures package, which includes a limousine transfer, a guided museum tour and a luxury picnic served by an Anantara butler amid a sea of flowers in a private tulip field. On the menu are such delicacies as Old Dutch cheese sandwich with nutty Beemster and homemade apple syrup; light lobster salad with artichoke, grapefruit, tomato and asparagus; Dutch caviar with blini and crème fraîche; and a tulip-inspired dessert made with delicate layers of pear, elderberry, yoghurt and spiced Speculaas biscuits.
In addition, this spring Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam will be unveiling the fruit of its collaboration with local tulip growers. “Last year, we partnered with Tulip Experience Amsterdam to develop the Anantara Tulip, a distinctive variety that embodies the brand’s spirit with its signature sunshine gold hue. The bulbs, planted at this hotel and other Anantara properties in Europe, will soon bloom into a spectacular display of colours,” said Arne Heuwekemeijer “We also look forward to offering our guests the opportunity to take home their own Anantara Tulip bulb in the autumn.”
The 3,5-hour “Tulips in Bloom” adventure is offered daily from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm, from mid-March until mid-May. Prices are €599 for two people for the Tulip Tableaux package and €1250 for the Tulip Treasures experience.
