Minor Hotels, a leading global hospitality group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Naowarat Arunkong as the General Manager of the upcoming NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard, the first NH Hotels & Resorts property in Bangkok. As Minor Hotels expands the brand beyond Europe and the Americas, Arunkong’s expertise in hotel pre-opening, rebranding and repositioning will be instrumental in successfully transitioning Boulevard Hotel Bangkok to NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard.
Naowarat Arunkong brings extensive experience to her new role. She has been with Minor Hotels since 1999, most recently serving as Cluster General Manager for Anantara Hua Hin Resort and Avani+ Hua Hin Resort. Prior to that, she successfully managed two other hotel clusters: Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre from 2018 to 2020, and Anantara and Oaks Bangkok Sathorn Hotels and Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre from 2016 to 2018. Her journey with Minor Hotels began in 1999 when she joined Minor Hotels-owned Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa as Front Office Manager, eventually rising to the position of Rooms Division Manager.
“The introduction of the upscale NH brand to Bangkok is a significant milestone for Minor Hotels, and there is no one better suited to lead this endeavour than Naowarat, one of our most seasoned leaders,” stated Puneet Dhawan, Head of Asia for Minor Hotels. “I am confident that under her guidance, NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard will deliver NH’s signature hospitality that focuses on value for money, excellent connectivity and service with a human touch.”
“Bangkok holds a special place in my heart and returning here to lead the rebranding of this exceptional property is truly a dream come true,” said Naowarat Arunkong. "As we finalise renovations of the guestrooms and public spaces, my focus will be on training the team to uphold Minor Hotels’ high standards and building ties with the local community.”
Arunkong holds a Master’s degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Kasem Bundit University in Thailand.
