With the earthquake's epicentre over 1,000 km from the Thai capital, we are happy to share that the city’s infrastructure, including airports, transportation and tourist attractions, are operating normally.
Additionally, Minor Hotels’ properties in Bangkok, as well as Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, have undergone inspections and are deemed safe and have returned to normal operations. We have engaged internationally accredited third-party engineering firms for further assessments to ensure the continued safety of our guests and team members.
Resorts in southern Thailand, including those in Phuket, Samui, Krabi, Phang Nga, Pattaya, Hua Hin, were unaffected by Friday’s event and continued normal operations.
As life returns to normal in Bangkok, our attention has turned to how Minor Hotels can support the people of neighbouring Myanmar, those most affected by Friday’s earthquake.
The resilience of the Thai people is remarkable, and their spirit of warmth and hospitality remains unwavering.
We continue to welcome guests to our hotels and resorts with signature heartfelt hospitality as usual.
For further updates, head to the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) official channels, including the TAT Newsroom and @AmazingThailand across social media.
